Annual Review of 2009 and Outlook for 2010
Dear customers, employees, suppliers and friends of GFD.
The year 2009 proved to be a very diversified and difficult year for us.
After achieving a record in business performance in 2008, we had to accept
a drop in turnover in 2009.
The downturn that even increased in the 4th quarter has begun to slowly
stabilize itself. The latest figures for orders received show a steady
improvement indicating that we will be able to return to a path of growth in 2010.
There is one thing that the crisis definitely pointed out to us and that is that you cannot plan everything nor anticipate the outcome.
For the future we shall have to come to terms with further changes, e.g. globalization and the slow and steady advance of China to become the leading economic power.
Today China is sometimes the production location for western industry but in a few years that country should technologically also ascend to become the leading economic nation.
We confidently enter into this year 2010, astutely observing the market and its development that will affect us and consequently reacting in good time and accurately to its line of direction.
In this year we will again visit 2 to 3 trade fairs.
We of course hope that this will create a positive impulse.
But most of all we would like to thank our customers, who continue to renew their demand for our products and services. We are very aware that it is because of you, dear customers, that are all able to take home our salaries at the end of the month.
Over the coming year, we will of course continue to make every effort in ensuring your satisfaction with products which are not only of consistent high quality but are also subjected to regular enhancement.
We would also like to thank our suppliers, who have served us faithfully and always provided us punctually with all the materials we need.
